So, my life is filled with all sorts of awesome and contact with many awesome people and organisations. I’d like to share some of that with you.
My writing community
The Pretoria Writers Group
In the fortuitous year of 2012, I joined up with a few writers in Pretoria. You see, I met two of them at a local NaNoWriMo kick-off party. We hit it off and Bob’s your uncle. I had no idea how lucky that moment was!
The Pretoria Writers Group has opened my eyes to a part of the publishing world I just had no idea how to use. They showed me that I was further along than I thought. They offered me the opportunity, even, to participate in an anthology that came out in 2014.
Friends and family
So, I discovered somewhere down the line that a whole bunch of my friends also dream of writing. It turns out birds of a feather flock together. Who’d have thunk, yes?
Of course, fantastic fantasy events and books and stuff isn’t all my life is made up of. There are many other things that really make my world go around.
One that does this very literally is pole dancing. No, I’m not a stripper. No, I do not work in a club. No, I don’t have compromised moral standards. If you want the honest truth, pole dancing as a sport is a form of acrobatic gymnastics that requires incredible strength, control and dedication.
Having come back to pole after my kidsI must say: I have a new-found respect for my body and what I am capable of. When I trained for the first time after I gave birth, I felt like an absolute weakling. I could barely do anything. Everything hurt. I got bruises and pole burn like a newbie.
But now, I am back in the game and stronger than ever.

I shall be adding more as I go along…
